Official Contest Rules

When submitting car designs for contest consideration, you agree to abide by the following rules.

Eligibility

No Purchase Necessary to Enter or to Win
E2Xtreme Challenge Racing Car Kits will be mailed to 100 randomly selected registered entries. Participants can register for a free car kit at www.scoutstuff.org June 22-26, 2011.

Void Where Prohibited by Law
Contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and members of the Boy Scouts of America and their families in other parts of the world where the Boy Scouts of America program is delivered. This affiliation must be with the Boy Scouts of America program specifically and not other Boy Scout sponsored programs or Scouting programs of other countries.

Age Requirement
Participants must be at least 13 years of age to register for a free E2Xtreme Car Kit or enter the Car Design Contest. Children under 13 years of age may register for a car kit or enter their car's photograph with permission from their parents.

Contest Entry Guidelines

Contest Dates
All car design photos must be submitted to the Contest website by 11:59 p.m. ET July 24, 2011. Voting will begin on July 25, 2011, and will end on July 29, 2011, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

No Copyright Infringement
All work must be released for individual usage or purpose usage grants. All entries must contain copyright-free art or art released for entrant's and public use. No unauthorized use of any copyright images, text, or other material will be accepted.

All Entries Must be Submitted Online
You must register for an account and be signed in to submit an entry. If you are under the age of 13, your parent or legal guardian must create an account and be logged in to submit an entry. Entries must be submitted using this form.

All Entries Must be a Photo of the E2Xtreme Car
Photos submitted for Contest entry must be of the E2Xtreme car only.

File Types and Sizes (dimensions listed below in pixels)
Contest entries must be submitted in either .JPG, .PNG or .GIF format, have dimensions as listed below for the type of product under which you are submitting artwork, and a file size not exceeding 2MB (2048 KB).

One entry per person

Guidelines and Judging Criteria

Votes
All car designs will be open to public voting. The car with the most votes at the end of the contest period, July 29, 2011, is declared the first-place winner.

Automated voting of any kind is not allowed. Detection of said automated voting will lead to votes being voided.

Only one registered account per voter. If multiple accounts are detected for a single voter, they will be disabled and votes disqualified. One vote per day per account during the voting period is allowed.

Your car designs are the first of their kind for this new E2Xtreme Challenge Racing program! Scouts nationwide will look to your designs for inspiration so show us your COOLEST car designs!

Winners

Winner Will be Notified by Email
Winner will receive an email announcing their award, and will be asked to submit an original digital photo of their winning design for publication on Scoutstuff.org. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Boy Scouts of America cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.

First-Place Winner
The first-place winner of the car design contest will receive a $100 ScoutStuff Gift Card, one E2Xtreme Car Launch Kit and E2Xtreme Challenge Racing Car Design Contest First-Place trophy.

Voters
All those who participate in voting for the winning E2Xtreme car design will be entered to win one of five $25 ScoutStuff Gift Cards. One entry per registered user. Five (5) $25 Scoutstuff gift card will be awarded. If the winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected. If Boy Scouts of America cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded.

Prize Winners
Each winner, by acceptance of the prize, agrees to release all Sponsors, and their parent and subsidiary companies, their officers, directors, employees, agents, shareholders, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, and advertising agencies from all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership, or use of the prize.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification.

Prizes

Boy Scouts of America reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value.

General Conditions

Authorize Rights to Boy Scouts of America
By submitting your artwork, you authorize Boy Scouts of America to post your entry on our site indefinitely, and grant Boy Scouts of America the right to use and display prints of your design for marketing purposes.

Boy Scouts of America reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

Boy Scouts of America Reserves the Sole Right to Determine Eligibility
Each entry will go through an approval process to determine if the artwork meets our criteria before the entry will be available for voting.

Boy Scouts of America Reserves the Sole Right to Adjust Contest Rules without Notifying Contestants
Contest rules can be changed and updated without notice. Contest participants are responsible for checking the site for changes, and should review the rules prior to each submission. Boy Scouts of America reserves the right to change the rules at any time.

Right to Suspend or Cancel the Contest
If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control ofthe Boy Scouts of America that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness,integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Boy Scouts of America reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual(s) who tamper with the entry process, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest. If the Boy Scouts of America elects to cancel or terminate the Contest, the Boy Scouts of America will not retain any rights in the submitted photographs and will return all entries.

Right to Refuse Entry
The Boy Scouts of America reserves the right to refuse entry. The Boy Scouts of America reserves the right to verify the validity and originality of any entry and/or entrant (including an entrant's identity and address) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Official Rules or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Boy Scouts of America to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
